How do I set room prices, opening hours and Instant or Request to book?
Each room has its own lengths and prices, weekly hours, and a choice of Instant book or Request to book, which you can set separately for each block of hours.
- On List & Manage Studio Hire, tap Edit on the room and go to Prices.
- Under Lengths, slide or tap − / + to set a length, then type its price. Tap Add a length for more (for example 1 hour £20, 4 hours £70).
- Under How customers book, choose Instant book (paying confirms the booking) or Request to book (you accept or decline each one first).
- Under Rescheduling, choose No rescheduling or Reschedule with 24 hours' notice.
- Go to Availability. Tap + on a day to add hours. Add a second set of hours on the same day if you need a break. Days with no hours are closed.
- To mix Instant and Request, tap the Instant / Request button on any block of hours, for example weekdays Instant and evenings Request.
- Tap Save as preset to reuse these prices and hours, and Use a preset to fill another room from one.
- Tap Save changes (or carry on to Review for a new room).
- Hours without their own setting use your choice under How customers book.
- Customers pick one of your lengths for each time they book, and start on the hour or half hour.
- For one-off changes, tap Calendar on the room: Closures and special hours (close a whole day, such as a bank holiday, or open different hours) and Blocked times (for bookings you took by phone or in a paper diary). Tap Save changes after changing hours.
- Presets can hold prices only, hours only, or both. Rename or delete them from Presets. Rooms you already filled from a preset keep their own prices and hours.
- Changing prices or hours never moves or cancels bookings already made.
What you can do
- Offer lengths from 45 minutes to 8 hours, in 15-minute steps, each with its own price.
- Set Instant book or Request to book for each block of opening hours.
- Close single days, set special hours and block times from the room's Calendar.
- Keep up to 20 presets.
What you can't do yet
- Offer more than 8 lengths in one room, or a length under 45 minutes or over 8 hours.
- Change the minimum notice: everyone books at least 1 hour ahead.
- Take bookings more than 12 months ahead.
- Let customers start at times other than on the hour or half hour.
- Allow customer cancellations or refunds. Rescheduling (once, 24 hours ahead) is the only option.

Requests are in Bookings received. Accept to charge the card, or decline to release the hold.
- On Home, tap List & Manage Studio Hire, then Bookings received (all spaces).
- Tap Requests and open the request. It says Accept or decline within and how long is left.
- Tap Accept, then confirm: the card is charged and the booking is confirmed. Or tap Decline, add a Reason for the customer (optional), and confirm.
- You have 12 hours to answer, or 2 hours if the booking starts within a day, and never later than 15 minutes before the start. If you don't answer in time, the request is declined automatically and the customer isn't charged.

- On a computer you can answer requests in the Room calendar at web.fdcone.com.
What you can do
- Accept or decline each request, with an optional reason when you decline.
- Answer from the app or from web.fdcone.com.
What you can't do yet

How does Studio Hire pay me, and what does it cost?
FDC One keeps 10% of each booking plus the Stripe card fee. The rest goes to your Wallet and can be withdrawn 24 hours after the session.
- Withdraw it the same way as your other earnings: profile photo, Wallet, Pending Payout, Request Payout.
- Example: a £50 booking. FDC One keeps £5 commission and the Stripe fee, and the rest is yours.
- A booking with several times unlocks 24 hours after its last time ends.
- Customers can't cancel a confirmed booking and get no refund. They can reschedule once if you allow it.
- If a customer reports a problem, that booking's payout is held while FDC One reviews it.
- You need your payout account set up with Stripe once (Wallet, Manage Payout), as for class earnings.
What you can do
- Set your own prices for every length.
- Withdraw in full or in part once the money is available.
What you can't do yet
- Withdraw hire income before 24 hours after the session.
- Withdraw a booking's money while a problem report on it is being reviewed.

What happens if I cancel a room booking?
The customer always gets a full refund. What it costs you depends on how much notice you give.
- Open the booking from Bookings received.
- Tap Cancel as studio. The message shows exactly what you'll pay. Confirm to cancel.
- 48 hours or more before the start: you pay only the Stripe fee.
- Less than 48 hours before: you pay the Stripe fee, 10% of the booking and FDC One's 10% commission. On a £50 booking that's £5 + £5 + the Stripe fee.
- If a customer reports the room wasn't ready and FDC One cancels the booking, the less-than-48-hours charge applies.
- The charge comes out of your wallet. The customer is told by push and email, and the refund can take 5 to 10 working days to show on their card.
- A request you don't want? Decline it instead. That costs nothing.
What you can't do yet
- Cancel once the booking has started.
- Cancel without the customer getting a full refund.

How do I connect my calendar?
Connect Google Calendar once and each room is never double-booked: FDC One bookings go straight into the room's calendar, and anything already in that calendar closes those times in FDC One. Not on Google? Use a calendar link instead.
- On Home, tap List & Manage Studio Hire. Each room shows Calendar: connected, Calendar: not connected with Connect, or Calendar: link broken with Fix. Tap it to open the room's calendar card (it's also at the top of the room's Calendar, and step 7 when you add a room).
- The top line says where you are: Not connected to Google Calendar, or Google Calendar connected: and the account.
- Tap Connect Google Calendar and sign in to Google. If Google shows Google hasn't verified this app, tap Advanced, then Go to fdcone.com. Allow the calendar permissions, then tap Go back to FDC One.
- Choose which calendar this room uses, or tap Create one for me to get a new calendar called FDC One – room name. The card then says which calendar the room uses. Use Change calendar to pick another.
- Done. New, moved and cancelled bookings show in that calendar within seconds, and events you add there close those times in FDC One within about a minute.
- Not using Google Calendar? Tap Not using Google Calendar? for the other options: Link my calendar (paste an iCal link or a Google Sheet, so its busy times close here) and Add to my calendar (subscribe to the room's bookings in Apple Calendar, Outlook or another app).
- One Google account per studio. All your rooms use calendars in the account you connected. Connecting a different Google account replaces the first one, and each room's calendar has to be chosen again.
- One calendar per room. A calendar another room already uses shows as Used by that room and can't be picked. Pick a different one, or tap Create one for me.
- Only calendars you own are listed. A calendar someone else shared with you can't be used: ask its owner to connect their account, or tap Create one for me.
- Outlook and Apple Calendar can't be connected directly yet. Use Link my calendar with their iCal link (FDC One checks it every minute), and Add to my calendar to see FDC One bookings there (Apple checks on its own schedule, usually within an hour).
- FDC One only uses the start and end times of your events, never their titles, descriptions or guests.
- Disconnect (next to the account) stops FDC One reading and writing your calendar for every room. Bookings already in your calendar stay there.
- If you added FDC One's booking link to Google before connecting, remove that old FDC One calendar from Google so bookings don't show twice. The card tells you when this applies.
- If a calendar link stops working, that room takes requests only until it's fixed, and you get a notification.
- You can't book your own studio's rooms from your Member or Instructor profile.
